Thanks Fl folks.
There's a good restaurant in Gulf Shores called The Hangout. Also, the Shrimp Basket in GS is good.

The Navy Aviation museum on NAS P'cola is a no-brainer, even for the lil ones.

awesome! so awesome in fact, that I edited the location out of my previous post... wouldnt want this place getting too popular.

dude was riding a rm250, and his girl was on a big wheel kx85 and she was keepin right up with him - leavin me in the dust

on another note, next time yall are passin through gulf breeze make sure to hit up Big Belly BBQ - its by the wendys in the midway/tiger point area. it is in a gas station, but man, its the best bbq on the peninsula. theres a smoker in the parking lot where they smoke the meats, and their pulled pork sandwich topped with coleslaw with mustard based bbq sauce is in my top 10 bbq of all time. no joke, and the price is right

tunes?

Do any of you listen to music while you ride? I want to listen to tunes while riding to get me in the groove and I was just curious if anyone else does this and if they do what tunes are good for riding to...

I just bought some SHURE ear buds. Seem to work well, but were a little spendy.(tip: don't buy them in an airport) Really sound good, and flat enough to stay in with my lid on

As much as I love my iPod, music distracts me on the bike. If I have to do a long, Point A to Point B slog on the slab I might use them, but for running around I like to hear the Leo Vince pipes on the 'Strom and I love hearing the thunderous bellow from my massive DR650.

You could take that a step further and say don't buy any freakin' thing at an airport - you can hold a lot of sandwiches (and nip bottles) in a pair of modern cargo pants
