I'm in for something. Hoping fbm will want to run his personal riding trials. If not I may try Milltown MX or a run at Mossy. I've got to figure out how to jump this thing.

Comming down for a few days

Greetings Vic Rick, Dan and others who's code names I don't know,
I'm coming down for a long weekend 4th-8th and will be looking to get some riding in if possible. I finally have a tagged bike (450 KTM). I was hoping not have to buy the Eglin Pass for just a ride or two, but if that's where everybody's going I'll consider it. Let me know what's up, I need a vacation and my wife's idea of sitting on the beach just doesn't float my boat. As always, you are all welcome to come ride Coal Creek, Royal Blue, Tackett Creek. If you ever make it up here to the Knoxville area, be sure and let me know- I know where all the cool stuff is!

r,
Aaron C.

Aaron,

You picked a good weekend. I will try and get up a ride of the old Mossy Heads who now ride ADV stuff.
We can ride Blackwater without permits and its lots of fun. Very little single track but still some challanging trails.

Im not sure you will be able to ride down here.... there are NO rocks and NO hills (mountains! ha!)

We still manage to have a good ride.

Looking forward to seeing you...

Finished rebuild.
Started April 27th, got plates June 28th.
Wrecked bike back in 2010. Have lots of pictures of the rebuild to post soon.

Any rides in the Pensacola area this weekend?

Blackwater sounds fun, it will be nice to ride it without geting a ticket this time! Yeah I have to come down there to keep up my sand skillz! No mountians to fall off of is just a bonus! No single track is not a problem- you know me, I love it all!

Anybody else on here going?
Husqvarna will be there on friday for demo rides. That might be good.

Not sure if I'm gonna do this one instead of or in addition to the Cheaha event that will occure the last weekend in October.

Hey Madhouse!

I'm hankerin to ride. The bike is finally functional (see pic above) after 23 months since the wreck. Trying to talk Kevin (forrestrider) into letting me help him get his out of the barn too.
New mounting hardware is on the way for the refurbished Zumo you helped me get from Garmin. (yes I started a new profile... long story)

Anybody riding around here this weekend? I would love to meet some of our area riders for a slowww burn, just hoping to tag along.

I am seriously considering this one. Its on my Bucket list. LBL and Renfro Valley ( I have been to this one) are two of the premier DS events of the year. its a long pull but worth it. From what I have heard this aint no 'cake walk"

etingelefunts: (ok thats the first and last time I type that out) Welcome back. Bike is a fantastic!

I like Tingle fart... come on group help out here...

Looked it up on G**gle Earth. Looks great.
Do I need any land use permits to get there?
Wherewhen does it start?

Thanks for the chuckle.
"Eating elephants" is how the bike re-build felt, not to mention the surgeries and therapy after the accident... one bite at a time.
Here's a link referencing the accident before I started a new profile; http://www.advrider.com/forums/showp...postcount=7712

Vic, I've been to both. I thought Renfro Valley was more technical (fun) than LBL.

When I did the LBL last year, it was dry and dusty. Highly recommend doing either one.

I'll probably go again this year and rent a cabin that's about 5 miles from the campground where the rider's meeting takes place.
