You dont quit riding when you get old, you get old when you quit riding.
I don't always ride street bikes, but when I do I prefer VStroms

And that's where this ride might have to go.
Easy for you on your setup GS and easy for me on the stock Wee cause we've been riding offroad for many years.
Not so much for new riders on heavy bikes with street tires, and Jesse Box's full of stuff.
This event ain't about showing how good a rider we are.

A offroad clinic course will be a nice touch, but it's gonna take time/miles to get new riders to that easy- slow level.
Time/miles we don't have.
How about lets come up with a street ride with FEW of the very best(easy) dirt
roads that are in Blackwater and try again with Todd after he gets his handlebars and clutch lever replaced?

Kidding aside. Can do 2 separate rides for skill groups. If you get some of those rawhyde seniors they can do some crazy stuff on 1200s that would even make Billy think twice. At the overland expo this year they had a "rodeo" demo track setup that the rawhyde instructors rode with big whoops and some small jumps and they threw those things around like toys.

This a rawhyde event again or just BMW ralleye?

I was watching a video of someone putting a big bike (GS or maybe a Duke) through the paces - anyway this guy was tearing it up doing wheelies, stoppies, and awesome dirt riding...

Then he messed up and ripped off side bags windshield and about 4k worth of damage... and he looked at camera and said "And I dont have to pay for repairs"....

Different story when I drop my V in the gravel.... so I dont...Im a wuss

A BIG YES!

I would like to see this too.
Todd is telling us that new riders are buying these new machines and want to get their feet wet (gently,,,without tearing up high dollar body and motorcycle parts) exploring the possibilities of their new bikes.

This can be done and we can do it.

I'd pay admission to witness those fantasic riders that can make a GS scream and moan.

I am looking for a set of hiway pegs for my Vstrom... any one have any suggestions.

I assume they will mount to my engine guards...

Billy, go ahead and figure out the ride you want to do.
Vic is gonna help with a 4 lake/buncha bridges/twisty pavement ride for us.
Both rides will be advertised as such.

Event will be a win-win for what ever those riders want to do.
