Went on my first semi-adventure yesterday, had a lot of fun on this trail and didn't fall off!

Did you yank the radiators off to do the lash? I found it quicker to R&R them vs. working around them when doing the valves. Speaking of... I have a set of radiator gaurds from my 450 sitting here in the garage if you need some (KTM Hardparts if I recall correctly) They will not fit with the MXC tank, and the tank provided plenty of side protection anyway
It was a pain, but I left the radiators in place. I can use the radiator guards.

Next time you run the valves just pull 'em loads of room to work and it only takes a few minutes. Plus you ought to change the coolant about the same time anyway- the WHOLE quart

Re: radiator guards
I'll bring them on my next trip thata way, or PM me your address and I'll ship 'em

Got a message today from Buzztail that a fellow ADVer was having bike issues in my neighborhood. Said ADVer and bike were located and the offending item was removed. We made our way to Mugwest Motor Sports where rumor had it that a used tire was available.

Try as we might, we were unable to seat the 150 width tire on the LT rim. A quick call and it's Madhouse (with Forrestrider) to the rescue with a brand new 160 tire from his neighbor. Fortunately Inept arrived after the heavy lifting was done and showed us where the problem was.

The wheel and new tire were installed and he was headed on his way after loading the BMW up with spare and broken parts like only a KLR rider can.

Good to meet you Adam.

Got home last night, everything held up and nothing fell off.

Thanks to everyone who helped out, made a potential multi-day tow-fest into a 4 hour delay. Remember, adventure is out there!

Soap Box Time!

Listen up.

This sport is awesome and wonderful but it is dangerous. Even a skilled experenced rider can go down. Gimmie filled me in on his recent crash. Like me a year ago at Spec and many of us... is happened in a heart beat and for no real reason. Broken foot for Gimmie. Get well soon.

Hes gonna be at the Trot cause Madhouse will drag him if necessary.

Just thinking out loud about good riders going down
Inept - broken Back (JC!!!)
FBM - several times and all on tape
OC - collar bone
Reb Red - head!
Vico - hand
Gimmie - Foot
The list is endless

It come with the territory... deal with it...
