Hints for watching Vids

I just discovered that while watching the vids on youtube you can hit the "setting" icon (gear wheel) and you can set the view mode to HD and you can also change speed of view. I like 1/2 or 1/4 speed to see good stuff like water corssing etc.

Just thought I would pass it along. The HD setting make a hugh difference in quality.... may depend on your computer feed etc..

New Years

Hey Vic and other Mossy Heads,
I didn't get to make it down this year for New Years, looks like you guys have moved on from the old festivities @ Mossy to a new one. Looks like an equal amount of fun and I still hope to get down there and ride with you guys when I can. Take care, have a good 2013 and say hi to Dave, Dan, John, Rick, Ben, Craig, Steve, and all the rest!

Happy New Year to you also and thanks for keep in touch. Haven't heard much from the old Mossy Head group. Rick and Steve and a few other have made the transition to street legal dirt bikes.

Do I remember right, did you get a new 500 or 450?

Yeah, I'm on a '12 450XCW (tagged), it's the best bike I've ever been on so far. I love it and wish I could spend more time on it. I do keep my 200XC/XCW hybrid around for serious trail work though- also a great bike!

Thanks for leading today Mike, great time!!! But REALLY....REALLY....still learning your way around the BW.....you took us to places today that none of us (well most of us) have never been too, which was awesome! Look forward to more rides and fastburn blistering speeds!

New Years Day 100

I was a good ride for the time I was on it.
Sorry I had to cut out guys/gals but was just not my day. Plus my speedometer cable broke, so that is on order now.

Will catch you all next time.

We have some time to ride before next General gun hunting season begins: 19-27 Jan.

Hatch,
The SERA web site has some KTM dealers that are good with PARTS - Mikes Cycle in Miss and Munn Racing in Tx both know what they are doing and are good folks. Microfiches on both sites.

For other stuff like filters oil tires I use normal online guys like Rocky Mountain - Revzilla (street mostly) etc.

Good luck on the new scoot...

I double what Vic says about the parts. KTMWorld is great for parts, has a good microfiche, and is quick! RockyMountainATV is by far the cheapest for anything else that you need. If you go to your local or smaller KTM shops, it'll take A LOT longer to get the parts, because a little birdy on the inside told me that KTM requires dealers to place at least a $500 order from them, anytime parts/supplies are required. True or not, but that's why smaller shops don't carry the parts or take forever.

I agree and also would like to offer my thoughts on KTM HUT. From my personal experience; they stock very little and have to order from KTM directly to get you anything. They charge retail prices and it takes a very long time to get anything. KTM World on the other hand seems to keep most everything in stock and discounts everything I have ever bought from them.

Order Parts

I tend to stick with the shops that tell right up if they have the part IN STOCK...

I hate to order a bunch of stuff only to have them come back and say it will be three weeks on this or that...

KTM world has parts because they WORK on bike and not just sell em...

+1001 Sometimes ordered parts reach my well-worn doorstep the very day after I order 'em. Doesn't hurt that their parts folk are thoroughly familiar with the bikes too.
