Grandmother died

I'm headed to Houston for the funeral this weekend. Should be decent riding.

Anyone go to the Benka event tonight?

Sorry to hear about your grandmother.

I just got in and did attend Benka's presentation. She obviously is quite amazing! So many things to say; she had a dream, and with a little determination and resourcefulness, she lived it. Very down to earth though, for someone who accomplished so much and still continues to share her experiences. I still can't quite fathom the scope of what she did. Incredible.

Benka

Was super seeing everyone after so long. Benka was cool as heck, and her mate was a swell fella. Sure was nice of BMW to treat us all to grub and such. Heck of a good time.

Well said Jim. I can't do better than that and will just add my photos:

I bought her book. Its very nicely done.

Great time tonight. Wish you all could have been there to see and hear this determined womans stories.
I'm gonna guess there was a good crowd of between 60 and 80 people there. Courtney told me he was renovating the old Rex Electronics store across the street from the Harley Davidson store to move his BMW store there. The place on W Street is 5000 sq feet and the new place is 25,000.
Dotting the "I's" and crossing the "T's" on becoming the Husqvarna dealer.
I like'E

I was there too. Great turn out and nice dealership too, it was a great presentation.

We should have had name tags with our ADV screen names so we can poke fun of each other.

I need smaller shirt since I lost a few pounds.

From the pic, it looks like she did the trip on an older F650GS? Is that the bike with all the stickers on it?

Yes, that's the bike. She started in 1997. Spent the next 5 years traveling the world.
Here is a bit of info from her website:
