I've probably spent 3-4 hours washing that bike in the last two weeks... You hit the nail right on the head... I don't want to even get it dirty much less scratched up...

Now... About those infernal "lovebugs"... ARGH!!!!

I'll bring the V but taking if off road? Not until I get some more of the new off of it...

Thumb Racin fun at 5 flags last night

Some great flat track and supermoto racing last night at 5 flags. An old riding buddy of mine Reg Barnsdale (the old one) was there supporting his son Little Reg, and two grandsons racing their KTM's, Hondas, and Kawasaki's. Here's me on Reggies new KTM supermoto:

Those Barnsdales brought home a bunch of trophys for their efforts. I've known little Reg since he was a tike back in the early 70s and he gave me a wonderful complement last night. He told me that ever since he could remember, I was his hero, and he wanted to be like me. I thanked him and told him that he was my hero too. Here is a link to a slideshow of 50 pictures I took last night:

Cool Tony

Great pics! Great Mentor.
Met up with Sails and rode "twisties" to 231 and 20 to meet LD. Great breakfast in a little greasy spoon, and great comraderie.

On the way back, Sails and I hit the "Sandflea Tail" west of Defuniak on Bob Sikes...one Ford mitigated our risk by about half of being the recipent of the new $1500 for over 15mph over the speed limit law for bikes...I think we made up for it on the second half.

Stopped by Indigo...I need knobbies BTW... almost bit it...

Then I proceeded to initiate Sails at the intiation trail (Ol brick 90). Just to be clear Mug, this was not an attempt to take over the pride while the Alfa male is wounded. If you'd like, you can take him yourself and hit the road crossing at about 80, because I waddled over it...

LD, great seeing you...Sails, great ridin with ya. See in November if not sooner my brothers.

Brick 90, Lovebugs and Jkass

Met up @ Jkass's pad rode over to meet up with Bob. LD had the Discovery Channel film crew there documenting our epic arrival...had some great eats at a local hole in the wall off hwy 20... After we left LD we headed to points north and Indigo lake. Jkass provided a demo of sand riding.

Then Jkass lead me to a place he proclaimed that was a sandflea right of passage, the Brick 90. Was cool, I've driven by there a 100 times and never noticed it.

302 miles RT

Thanks for the ride...now need to find the 409 for the love bugs.

Question I am game for some road ridin'...

I just got my sometimes shiny new Bandit. My next objective is going to be a dualsport, but that may take some time.

The wife and I have been running some of the local poker runs, but I'm getting tired of riding the same roads (and looking at way too many harleys).

I read on the previous page that one or two of you may be game for finding some fun but reasonably well finished backroads?
