New Tag



On a three digit road whose numbers add to 7, a small town on the Ohio River across from W.V. hides a park with an overlook of the Locks and Dam you see above. The Army is here, but not as you normally think of them. Their sign will be your guide.

Well I was hoping to ride a tag tomorrow but The River is one of my own personal no-tag-zones. Plus I got hit with a last minute subpoena for tomorrow so all I'll be doing is riding up town to get a socket for changing my spark plugs and some oil.

It was getting dark as we were grabbing the new tag and my cheap camera that I keep on the bike didn't like the lack of light and color..

Here are some pics of the tag location back in 2005 right after high water caused a set of barges to lose control. the river went from about 15 feet above normal to about 15fet below normal in a day or two. it amazed me to see how the river crushed the steel barges like a beer can.

Yeah.. First tag ever for both myself and Kurt. I'd been watching this thread for a few months and recently explained the game to him and he seemed pretty interested. We've been plotting to get the Jerry Lee's Pizza tag for a few days now, but the stars didn't align until today.

The whole story is that I left Athens (where I work) to meet Kurt in Marietta. I was on the interslab trying to make time so we wouldn't get bruced, but Kurt had refreshed the page about 10 minutes before I got to his office and saw that Meef had gotten the tag.. and put it back in Nelsonville!

Arg! I just friggin' left there. Athens is 15 minutes from Nelsonville, and I had raced to Marietta to get to Kurt's office so we could head out to Woodsfield and have some pizza (and grab the tag).

Kurt refreshes the page at his office and sees Meef's new tag. Kurt and I say fuck it and head out to Nelsonville to get it... all the way back to where I came from.

Technically, we didn't make it all the way to Woodsfield... so we were only partially bruced. Maybe we can call it Half-Bruced?

My fear of getting Bruced™®©Θ has led me to purchase a Nokia N810 Internet Tablet which is a palm sized computer with wifi. I can picture message my photos of the tag straight to the interwebs and then find the nearest hotspot to post to ADVrider.

Looks very cool,..................but out of curiosity, considering the price, why did you choose that over a net book since you still have to find a wifi spot anyway??
