Tag

St. Rt. 314 at Morrow County Road 49; old abandoned farm house. The farm still functions and appears to be mostly cattle.

This is a cemetery for a town with two names just a few miles from the last tag.

Shauk (Johnsville) Cemetery, USR 42, south of Lexington.

I hit this on my way home from EMS this morning, hence the duffel bag.

Next is the old railroad bridge that is currently part of the Kokosing Gap Bike Trail. It is easiest to see if traveling westbound (direction the camera is pointing) on Lower Gambier Road. The pull off I used to park in is right accross from the stairs (2nd picture, below).

Nice tag! I never did understand why it is called Shauk and Johnsville?

Meh, not really. Iberia ---> Shauk ---> home

It was about 25 miles. Probably the closest tag I've gotten, but not exactly at the end of my driveway, either.

Closed gate. I respect the wishes of the landowner.

I will not tolerate your insolence, 0.

Nah, just kidding. I will tolerate your insolence. There is only one spot you can see the bridge from, the stairs are just a point of reference so you can start looking. Umm... unless I'm a moron, which is possible, your link shows USR 23 near Delaware...?

The link wasn't in reference to the tag, necessarily. The discussion of stairs reminded me of the ones along 23 there. That's all.

I know where the tag is, I just won't have time to get out there.

I have often wondered about them stairs along rt 23 that lead up to the levee.

If only I had someone to ride with that could throw out the sacred cop card if we were busted.......hmmm
