Glad this isn't what's left of my store

Enough info should be in the photo? It is further North on the "unlucky road" than my last tag.

Tomorrow I am going to try to rent a bike and ride to Nauta.

I am afraid to try to figure out how far behind I am now.
Are you on a church mission trip? Kind of an odd destination for a regular ol' vacation....

TAG

Chesrown Cadilac, Olds, Pontiac, and GMC truck.
Mt Vernon Rd. on the north end of Newark.

They took it in the shorts this spring with all of the crap that happened to GM. One of the reasons I will not buy a GM vehicle.

I'll post the new TAG a little later.

NEXT TAG

There was a nice statue in front of the building with the copper siding in the rear, but I was asked to leave the site by the security guard. He said, "This is federal property, you can't be here." I replied, "I am a taxpayer, and there is no sign posted saying it was a restricted area." Too bad I am not a vet trying to see my doctor, or I really would have given it to him.

This pic is across the street from where I took the Tag photo.

So the tag is actually the building in the rear of the first photo?

Yes. Sorry was away from computers for a while. Chalmers is the first name of the guy the building is named after.

So much for your souvenier

I did get to rent a bike and ride from Iquitos to Nauta and back. It was really cool. The biggest bike that I was able to rent was a Honda CRF225. No speedo, no horn, no turn signals, no mirrors, no problem, this is Peru. It cost me about $45 for 6 hours. I took a lot of pictures, but I can not seem to get them uploaded. I will put a mini ride report together in ADV in Ohio when I get back. I hope that the pictures of avoiding the sow and her pěglets in Nauta turned out.

It's ADV in OH, not ADV in Iquitos / Nauta. You think we want to read about that crap?

I kid, I kid. I'd be interested.

Next Up

I've been saving this one for my last tag. Since I just got a job in Baltimore, MD I'm moving over east in a week and a half to try and take over their tag game

This tag was inspired by Devil Dog

A peaceful monument to something that happened in 1812
