New tag:

One way to get to this tag is to climb some winding stairs.

Oh you got to be shitting me, not only do I know right where that is but Winding Stair Rd (locally referred to as "The Stairs", as in: "Holy shit, you rode that Harley up the Stairs???!!!!") is a sweet dual sport ride, and I'm at work...

Better warn them not to come in from the east, it's bad gravel with switchbacks, and is technically closed...

OK, folks, since I posted it here first, the wife, Kim, had breast cancer surgery today. They were able to do a lumpectomy, and got two places out thru one incision. Surgeon said things looked good, and surgery went as well as it could go.
If all the tests of the removed tissue come back OK, she is looking at 6 weeks of radiation treatments, 5 days a week. That's the BEST scenario.
Anything extra shows up, then it's probably chemo.
I brought her home tonight, and she feels great so far. No pain. But, what a LONG day!
What's terrible is that the same day Kim may have beat cancer, her uncle was diagnosed with stage 4 lung cancer, which has spread to his liver. He was a heavy smoker who fought in Vietnam, and was exposed to Agent Orange.

Thanks for all your thoughts and prayers.

Thanks, Meef! I don't know what I was thinking, forgetting to mention the gravel on Winding Stairs Rd. So, fellow taggers, if you don't like gravel w/switchbacks.......find an alternate route.

Mark, that's great news about the surgery! We'll continue to keep you and Kim in our thoughts and prayers.

Not entirely. I uploaded it when we stopped so Meef could update our arrival time.
The quick stop to grab the Tag, in addition to my unwillingness to go over over 75 and Bill's unwillingness to take his KLR over like 55 , all contributed to us being late.
Meef had to be going nuts in his helmet.
By the looks of today, I need to have Brian show me how to handle my Vee (Wheelies optional )
Bill & I both enjoyed it all though.
Thanks again!

(I seemed to have captured the elusive Meef10 in my pic though)
