I'm thoroughly enjoying all your posts and thought I would point out a bit of irony. WWII, greatest generation, the wonderful nose art, honor, sacrifice, integrity. Modern US military, I think all these characteristics are still displayed by the service men and women, I submit for your perusal 2 examples of above stated irony:

It would appear during the time period they call the greatest generation, we had artists paint nude women on our air planes. Now we can't even look at them where the children won't be 'scarred for life'. Something just doesn't add up for me, but I'd love to have me some Carolina Moon shining on my hack, if I ever get the money for one.

Pathetic isnt it. We expect soldiers to be tigers in battle, but kittens every place else. I didnt understand it while I was in and I dont understand it now.
