Add me to the riders in Germany list. American living near Heidelberg. Due to take delivery of my new shiny (for awhile) 09 12GS in a couple weeks.
Where about in Heidelberg? We were up there a few weeks ago, took the A5 up towards Sinsheim but got off and followed the Neckar, great ride. We'll have to link up for a beer next time my bud and I are up that way.

Don't post up if you're not in Germany or are going to be negative.
Why he concludes that I'm negative about this thread asking is still beyond my grasp. The conclusion wasn't true in 2008 and doesn't get more credibility by quoting it in 2009.

I am planning on riding down Saturday morning from Stuttgart, perhaps staying a few hours or so.

I hear Touratech has a new titanium kickstand plate for my bike (w/sticker), on sale for only 79!

The Mrs and I plan to head down Friday afternoon and camp for two nights - looks like it might be wet. We'll be the old fogies on the Purple R100R (Red Jackets).

On saturday at Touratech event I'll have a look after a red GSA, because I just got the same myself - just without TopCase because I'm German!

@all: Like to say hi as a brand new member of the board. On monday I can pick up my brand new bike at the lokal dealer in Neumarkt. I'm located in Nuremberg, close to the "Franconian swiss" Motorcycle entertainment area!

Looking forward to catch up with some of you!

Hello Harald, looking good on that read beast ! Welcome to the madness and congratulation on that great scooter . You'll enjoy the hell out of it.

P.S.: ...why do germans NOT like top cases?

Uhh thanks

No idea about events.
But i heared rumors about 2nd choice selling on saturday. I hope that's true

And:
I don't like topcases because a bag has more space
I ride with my GF, so we need LOTS of space, for me I would only need a tankbag
