No, you don't need new triples or handlebars. Just the Scotts overbar or submount setup, depending on your preference.

I like the look BajaRat. A touch of retro on an otherwise very modern bike.

If you want to raise your bars otherwise you could get this one.

steve
No not the rotation. KTMs have 4 bar positions. There are two sets of holes on the triple clamp and the bar clamp is offset so you can mount it with the offset forward or aft. This results in 4 positions.

rear hole offset rear
rear hole offset forward
forward hole offset rear
forward hole offset forward

From page 50 of the 2010 530 EXC owners manual...

On the upper triple clamp, there are 2 holes at a distance of 15 mm to each other.
The holes on the handlebar support are placed at a distance of 3.5 mm from the center.
The handlebar supports can be mounted in 4 different positions.

Thanks ...

Wasn't 'going for the retro look' !!

Wanted more light for the desert than the stock birthday candle headlight.

As already receive the delivery I will try to do a few photographs how looks like it together with 13l tank and fan.
A few photos BPD radiator guards together with 13l tank KTM / Acerbis.

Installation took about 30 minutes.
Goes hand in hand with the tank and the fan without any problems...

BPD is made with horological precision:)

Gents, What is a reasonably priced oil for the 530? My dealer wants me to use motorex synt 4T at $16/liter. Should I go this way or is there something just as good for cheaper? I mean if nothing else the Motorex comes in a bottle that is pretty gucci.

Oil is the one thing I do not skimp on with my KTM.... You may want to shop around online, that price is a bit high, but the oil I use.

Steve,
You'll have people tell you only to use Motorex, then others will swear by Rotella, others Motul automotive and so on. I look for a synthetic oil with the required ratings. In my 530 I've used Maxima, Motorex and Repsol.

It's the one time you will be thankful for a 600ml oil capacity!
