Chain slider is $20.

Cs sprocket is 15.

Ride the gearing that feels best. I was just speaking to the new guy who commented on his control when going over logs. Trials bikes are geared super low, and here in the east, most favour lower gearing than 14/52. I think l will go 13/52 next.

True a lot of it depends on what your primary riding will conditions will be, in the PNW we have a good mix of everything so the bike needs to be pretty versatile if used for multiple conditions.

Great....now you guys have me re-thinking my gearing selection...
I have a 13 to try with my worn 50 before I commit to purchase so I'll see what that feels like.
Anyway, is the Dirt Tricks dome washer worth $25?

I have changed that washer a couple of times but I have used OEM because they are inexpensive and are integral to the torque spec. What torque would you use with the DT version?

13/50 in Arizona?

Anyways those CS sprockets are interchangeable.. I installed a 14 for for a DS event that had lots of roads...took it off the next day. No harm done.

Suspension Re-Valve- Is it worth it?

I have my bike sprung for my weight, and I have adjusted the rebound accordingly, but some guys swear by the re-valve.

I keep wondering if it is. I don't have many other mods to consider other than rekluse(I rarely stall) or steering stabilizer.

What do you say?

After my revalve by FTI, a steering stabilizer went to the bottom of my wish list. The bike doesn't deflect, it just goes where I point it. Much more confidence inspiring, much less fatiguing.

My first time riding the 530 off-road. I have since unplugged the crank case and ran the line along with the two carb lines up by the headlight.

Cut the guy a little slack, FFS.

He said it was his first time off-road on the bike so I'm assuming he's not had it long (plus it may belong to his dad from what I heard on the soundtrack on the vid - or his dad does the maintenance)

Hello from Toronto!

Hello from Toronto,

Got my 2008 KTM 530 EXC-R this summer, and had some of the best riding ever! Its currently getting packed away for the winter but I have some maintenance and mods planned, I am sure this thread will be real useful!

Cant wait to get started, love this thing!
