Thanks for taking the time to post this excellent trip report. We're all hanging on every word.

Sorry to hear about the loss of your new friend. Life is fickle.

Best of luck on your big move!

Is that Smokin joe from ADV?

Either way, that is terrible news. Such an unexpected event, you never imagine such a tragedy.

Hey man,
It's not what you ride that's important. Great pictures and good luck.
Cheers

After you finish the RR, are you going to give us a DR of the trip to Colorado?

Very Well Done!

Dittos on the cudos for your RR. This is damn near like crack to me!

Bummer about your friend. My condolences to you and her family.

I'm going to be in Denver in early June. My schedule is going to be 'active,' but perhaps we could meet. When the time gets closer I'll PM ya.

Keep it coming! (When you have a . . um . . job and all )

Later...

I love my oldwing. i've made it a little less functional and took the fairing off. I'm 24 and want some wind in the face time.

I just recently became a adv member and I'm in the Denver area. (north of Denver in Longmont). There's a bunch of great, active adv members in this rockies region. I'll make a post in the rockies forum welcoming you there...

edit: Here's a link to the post welcoming you to Denver.

Welcome to CO. The FFs of CO are the best. You will have tons of friends before you even get here.

Oh, and the riding is not too bad.

Great RR, and good luck on the new job. I'm moving to Richmond, VA and will be doing the job hunt thing there soon.

Sly,
Great adventure and great story telling. I just bought an 08 klr (first bike in 15 yrs). I have really enjoyed your Alaska RR. I will probably never be able to do a trip like that (who knows) but my adventures, however small in comparison, are still my adventures - and that is what I truly love about riding again. Since I bought my bike a few weeks ago, I have met some wonderful people. You have made me a Sly RR junkie - keep up the good writing, I am loving it.
