Post numbers are more useful than page numbers. With my current settings, this thread only has 194 pages.

Just an update that, in the HDB group buy thread (see my signature line), Paul has expanded the group buy. One can now get one's choice of 15% off an entire order or the original 20% off if only ordering a top clamp. Thought I'd mention it since some of you recently were thinking of an entire handguard setup. Details over on that thread.

Whats the lower clamp size we need again? The discount may finally sway me.

Home from a ride/camp down in Big Sur this weekend.

Temps in the 70's during the day, 40's at night, it was beautiful.

Only downside was nearly getting head on'd by a guy on a KTM
450 who was going way too fast on a one lane county dirt rd.

I was hugging the inside on the right after already meeting about
four or five trucks coming in the opposite direction. I was going
around a blind righthand corner and the guy was coming at me
hugging the inside.

He grabbed a bunch of front brake, washed out and went down hard.
Slid around 180 degrees and his back tire slapped into my front wheel
knocking me down too.

No damage to myself or my bike and he got up and shook it off,
just a few scrapes and bruises. His friend pulls up and stops to
help out. As we're talking and getting sorted out it quicly becomes
apparent the guy is concussed. He remembers his name and leaving
his truck and trailer down on HWY1 but everything after that is gone.

He doesn't know where he is, what direction he was going or anything
about what had happened. He asks me who I am and where I came
from about five times. I keep telling him and a minute later its gone.

We finally get him back on his bike and I ride sweep following them
down to where they parked. His friend said I was the first person
they'd seen all afternoon up there. We passed at least five more cars
coming up as we headed down. They're very lucky to have been
riding like that and not gone head on into a 4X4.

The guy had a Go-Pro camera mounted on his chest protector and
it was running when he picked himself up. That should be some
interesting footage!

A few pics...

Was that Limekiln Creek campground? If so, I've stayed in that exact same spot
