If you run rim locks, does it really throw off the balance at highway speeds?

I have run 15psi with no rim lock and did not have a problem. I would not go any lower than that without one though.

Depends on the tire. I've run 2- 3 pounds in my shinco 244s without rim locks. That's on x rims & some of the nastiest terrain you can find.

I've run less than that, to the point that the air guage didn't register....no rim locks. The wrr really doesn't put down enough power down.

I'm hoping for a ride tomorrow. I can't go for the whole day, but I should be good from early morning until about 1pm.

Hunting season starts Monday so tomorrow would really be the last day for trail riding.

You name the time and place.

Have any of you been in a situation where you wished you had a kick starter on this bike?

Never enough to think much about it. With a totally dead battery I rolled off a 3' berm and bump started it. Easy- peasy.

I found my battery dead in the parking lot at work (totally flat) and even with my 606 knobbies I just had to run with it and pop the clutch in 2nd and away I went... The engine warning light you get with a super low battery went out in about 5 miles.

my 86 XT225 didn't have one, my 08 WRR doesn't have one and i have never even found it necessary to bump start either one...you won't miss it.

Finally got my dirt wheels mounted up. Only went through through two front tubes getting the tires on the rims
It was a lot harder than the guy in the you tube video made it seem. The handling will definitely take some getting
used to.

Yeah, this past weekend at the Hammer run we stopped to catch our breath for a while and my son left his key on. The motor would crank over but it was too slow to start it so I pulled my battery and jump started his. If there was a hill or something close by we would have used that but we were on flat sandy ground.
His bikes due for a new battery, for the amount of time we were there it should have been fine.
