But hey, c'mon thornstein. It takes me a whole 40 miles of slab to get here.

Pic from a recent trip along the California coast. Border of Mexico up to Oregon and back. I should get around to the RR soon.

Getting high in CO yesterday on my girlfriend's WR:

It's a little different than my 990, but I really dig the WR.

Hey Skierd glad you had a safe run; are you going to keep any souvenir Dalton mud(I still have a little baked onto my KTM header from my June 2010 trip up there) When did they get rid of the old bullet riddled James Dalton hyway sign??

Does higher temperature equal better gas mileage?

I've noticed on my WR last summer I would consistently around 70 mpg, I watched my mileage slowly drop into the low 60s as winter progressed. I just attributed this drop in mileage to winter gas, more warming up, and a new 606 tire in the rear. Now that the temps are creeping up again I'm watching my mileage slowly creep back up from 64-65-67-69. I don't ride like a grandma but nor do i ride like my hair's on fire.

Anybody else notice a similar trend?

I have noticed similar results but just by the 'seat of my pants' and how often i go to the gas station as i don't track my actual mileage. I ride in Michigan, daily commuter pretty much year round and the mileage is less during the colder months for sure, now the nice warm weather is here, mileage seems better and i am visiting the pump less often.

I do for sure. I track all my fill ups on Fuelly - http://www.fuelly.com/driver/treybrad/wr250r, and there's a definite trend on all my bikes that warmer weather = better MPG, but it's especially true on the little WRR for some reason.
