Guess it would depend on your environment. Cool idea for sure, and nicely done! But, I am afraid a couple miles of single track and it would be laying along the trail somewhere looking like a wadded up piece of paper. A quick release of some sort would really make it sweet, something you could put on for gravel road touring and take off for tight stuff. Nice work either way!

Oh I like that shield. It looks like it protects the headlight too!

Here is a pic of my friends KLR pegs
![]() I just used 3/4 square steel for the pegs and a maple beam that attaches to the frame. Aluminum U-channel to hold the pegs at the ends cuz I couldn't find a thicker wall aluminum crosser. The windscreen has been durable, its got scratches from bush riding but hasn't broken. I read many accounts of windshields breaking on the WR250 forum. |

Some close-ups of my pegs
![]() ![]() The pegs are 3.75" overall and 13.25" from pivot to pivot. Notice the wood "puck" on my kickstand. My friemd actually used a real puck when I told him to use one as a joke. |

I was worried at 1st, but it is better than I thought it would be. Just a little warm next to the heat shield. We don't put food on that side. I need to check it after a long climb, but I keep forgetting to do that.
