I don't really care to go fast or anything, but I do like the fact that it would be a new and interesting experience. Plus, once I'll have pictures to make all my friends think I'm crazy!
Snow really isn't hard to ride in, if it is covering the ground.

It's when you have snow on top of asphalt or hard packed dirt that you have a difficult time maintaining anti-gravitational status.

The highest gear at the lowest possible speed to still be in the range for that gear and not lug the engine.

So I'd speculate about 40 mph in 6th gear, depending on individual gearing.

It took 3.9x gallons to fill, more than its rated volume! I don't like going on the highway much but it's often unavoidable here so I just cruise around at 60 most of the time. I weigh 130 so that probably helps a lot! I could probably get slightly better mileage if I went to the ethanol free stations but until recently gas prices have been so high that I haven't.
Don't forget there is a discrepancy between odo miles and actual mileage, the odo reads a bit high.

Depending on gearing (I have 14/50 and it runs up to 20 miles high per tank) your fuel economy numbers might be significantly skewered.

I have a 12 oclock lab speedo healer calibrated for a correct odometer reading.

So you're speedometer is off then correct? I don't think it heals both.

I got one and have my speed dead accurate, but my ODO is off, especially with the gearing changes etc.

135 + 105 = me... Don't know if that's good or bad but just a reality. I'd image that might have an impact on MPG.

I found a new One Industries Doug Henry graphics kit while cleaning my garage today. I sold my WR before I could stick it on so its up for grabs. Asking $55 shipped.

Please message me if you want it.

Thanks.

I'm looking for a stock exhaust heat shield for my WR.

If you have one that you want to get rid of/sell, shoot me a PM please.

Thanks,
Pax

Correct. It's easier for me to guesstimate speed than miles. However, my speedometer is surprisingly close even with it programmed for an accurate odo reading.

Anybody have pics of the ortlieb saddlebags on their bike. Interested in how they would fit without using racks.

There are over 40 miles of motorized single-track CDT/CT from Monarch Pass to Lujan Pass and more in other places in CO... His video looks like the sections south of Creede.

I've got an Ortlieb pic somewhere on Facebook, can't easily make it accessible right now. I think crawdaddy has posted some, maybe on the WR250 forum. I'll post my (not great) example in a few days when I get home, if you haven't found one by then.
