There's one catch, though. Anything outside a 250-mile radius requires a formal pass with itinerary. To keep from inviting the man into my life, but still allow for some spontaneity, I need to keep the trip within this:

If you had WRR, a tent, and time to kill, what would you do? If nothing inspires me, my fallback plan is to ride the TET-S up to Deals Gap and back.
Wow, the top half of that circle is motorcycle heaven. Lucky you :-)

Re: my bent shifter:

I plan to bend out the OEM one this weekend, and assess whether I have any other damage. Then I'll order another shifter and keep this one as a spare.

Would it be wise to heat before bending? Or will that ruin any tempering?

Thank you,

There was one on wrforum for sale for about $100. And there was one on fleabay as well.

I went with a ktm headlight for a year they work fine but are plastic and don't like high wattage bulbs.

I've read that the Baja Designs "Diablo" light will fit the WRR mask, and is both DOT-approved and only around $45 or so I think.

Thanks, this is exactly the kind of stuff I'm looking for. Institutional knowledge can be a wonderful thing.

A few years ago someone posted about a good replacement that they had found. A thread search might dig it up.

Previously quoted: "you need to bump the 5th setting to 6+ on the fmf power programmer"
Just a little update in case anyone was curious. I adjusted setting 5 to "6"(instead of 4) and now no more issues at 70+ mph.

Here is my new mapping(was originally set at FMF settings):
3 - 2 - .5 - 8 - 6 - 4

Original FMF settings:
3 - 2 - .5 - 8 - 4 - 4

Have noticed no issues all around. Sure is easy to adjust settings on that thing.

Pirelli MT21s on WR-X 17" Wheels...

A buddy of mine is wanting to put dual sport knobbies on his 17" wheels. It seems like I read that the tire of preference for this is the Pirelli MT21, but I'm wondering what size he needs to get.

Looking at the available sizes I'm thinking he'll need to run two rear tires F & R on his wheels. The only 17" tires I'm seeing are the 120/90-17 and 130/90-17, both of which are listed as "rear" tires.

What are you WR-X riders running for off-road tires? And are you running the same size F & R or going to a smaller width up front, like 130 rear and 120 front?

Thanks!
