I do respect all of you riding inappropriate tools for the job (that's adventure!), but I agree, just changing tires and/or riding your street bike in the woods does not constitute a conversion.
lly would like to see more of something like the examples below (NOTE** they are all 205's):

I have looked all over ,beasts,oz, some assembly and can find no mention of 1st gen conversion, please advise.

Here is one that took more than just new tires. This bike was a basket case. Original wheels were shot, and replacements cost the same as just buying a new bike.

I extended the forks and swingarm, plus 50% bigger wheels with knobbies, new seat, and new paint.

Before(stock picture, paint was thrashed also):

A little less silly

I converted my 1975 CB750 into this: (I loved that old bike but my back couldn't take it anymore)

It was great but still not really an adventure bike.
So I converted it into this by means of a straight across trade: (didn't like the goldwing)

I know that seems a little backwards, but I had a line on another one that I could trade for. I was able to "convert" the Goldwing into this: (best and most affordable conversion strategy! But I have total respect for the cool conversions in this thread. I admire the workmanship and creativity. If my shop was better equipped I'd be doing it to. Life time subscriber.
