Good choice. Don't waste your time here with questions, very few PCers on ADV. Go to IPCRC. But then you probably already know that.

How is this bike for two up riding? My gf is shorter than me by a good 6 inches. I'm looking at a 1990 PC800 with 23xxx miles on it, seems low but the owner has only had it two years.

I have only been riding for just over 2 1/2 years and I have been riding two up for about half that time.

You should increase the spring tension with that ring on the spring.
It is not that hard, but I just leave it at max because it is a chore to deal with because I am constantly switching between riding one and then two up.
And from what I hear the back seat is just as comfortable as the front!

'89 PC800 is now in the garage.

Got this from another inmate. A pristine '89 PC800. Looks show room new. 36k miles. Currently changing all the fluids and filters. Next week wifey is going to the Big Apple. I think a PC shakedown road trip is in order.

Hey Vermin -

I got yer bike's kountry kousin (the PAC*RAT) right here!

With a fresh rattle-can paint job. Your bike was the inspiration for this project. The plan is to neglect the bike cosmetically, while maintaining it mechanically. It must be a weird feeling to know that your machine has actually touched the lives of so many people.

PacRat I don't know how you managed to gain access to my innermost motorcycle fantasy, but you've created a remarkably faithful reproduction of my DreamBike #1 in your PAC*RAT - right down to the flat OD green rattle can job. I'm diggin the mirrors too. Beautiful work.

Just an FYI ~ here are a couple of ride reports from what looks to be a '90 PC800.
