Oh and for those in the same boat, I tried zip tying the two zippers together under the sleeves to prevent them from creeping open on long rides. I guess there was too much pressure on the zippers and the zipper teeth actually split open up while I was riding. I cut the ties and was able to get the zipper to work again but my experiment was a failure.

Maybe something with more stretch than a zip tie to keep the zipper tabs together?

Thanks Barry...

These are close to the finished product.. We are going to change the waist snap and a few other minor things.

Any comments good or bad before we go to production would be much appreciated. Will have these on display for the rest of the IMS tour. www.Motorcycleshows.com

I like the color and for the most part like the look a lot. However, the front fly thing I'm not too thrilled about. (the gray strip pointing at the pubes) I would keep that the same color as the surrounding area (light colored).
On the back, I might square off the ballistic material and enlarge it some so there is not a big black bullseye back there.
I would consider buying these pants as they are, but, since you asked for a crtical eye.... and IMHO these changes might be better.

The only comment I have - based on the pictures alone, is to make the entire frontal area from the knee down black instead of the lighter colo(u)r since these areas are the ones that get most crap thrown at them from the road and so get the dirtiest in my experience.

Hi Paul,

It's nice to get a look at the pants. Is there a way you could post a more detailed, or closer-up look? For a first glance I am liking what I see very much. Perhaps a shot of a model wearing the Adv jacket with the pants?

Thanks-

Wildabeast

I have been more than happy with my Discovery jacket through the dry season here but did i miss something.
It is the wet season now and i have been caught twice in what might be called medium rain for little more than fifteen or twenty minutes.
The outer shell has zero water resistance ??? and i am soaked within 30 seconds.
The jacket then takes the best part of a week to dry out as the lining is soaked.
This can't be normal surely.

Hi Paul-

I'm in the market for new riding pants. The Adventure pant is on the short list of options I am considering. I'd like a good, sharp look at them and a list of features. Possibly mated with the adventure jacket on a model. Any chance?
Thanks as always,
Wildabeast

We have gone to production on these now so sample is back at the factory. When we get them completed and available for sale we will have 3-D interactive pictures available on the web site.. We now have to wait and see how long it is going to take to get all the fabrics together from the different manufacturers and then start the cutting process. Normal time for this is 3 months but due to the world economic environment at the moment we do not know yet if the fabrics are in stock from Dupont and 3M or not. If we have to wait for them to produce the fabric it may be a much longer process. I will let you know when they are available in the USA.

I have used the new jacket(discovery)now for two weekend trips in colder conditions(mid 30's 8+hours per day) and love it.
