Everything lines up.

Sandblast, paint, and I'll be happy.
I contacted UniFilter, and they has no idea that there was an issue with the bracket. They now have my sketch, and hopefully will use it to modify their design.
You can download the DXF from http://www.wilddog.za.net/forum/inde...209#msg2597209 (I can't figure out how to attach it to this post). You are welcome to use it to cut your own. I used 3mm aluminium, which is probably too thick.
Wow excellent work! I love when people make things from scratch.

If you have more pics that would be sweet!
Any issues? Regrets? Or is it perfect?

54mm clamp

doubles as a actioncam support too

Pro`s ; very versatile in usage, switches between bikes easily, and is removed in seconds, doubles as a cam support
Con; with the 10wtt Led monster it sags a bit during offroad during daytime, at night my speed is much lower and it won`t move (not at all with this small LED light)

As said they are made for steering damper support, on this side of the Pool I got them from SW Motech

are the OEM bars on an xchallenge 22mm?
They don't taper so they're 22mm on the ends as well as in the clamps?

Thanks :)

Hi Motorrat. I can't recognize your bashplate but I quite like it, would you mind sharing it's origin (sorry if it's a very popular one and just me not realizing...)

Hiya Scalex,
It has been made by Touratech, the small tool compartment is great, protection of the engine and shifters is good due to its width, and still fully offroad capable.
(don`t know if it is still available though)

Only drawback is it covers a lot of the engine, so the fan jumps on regulairly, but the Scheffelmeyer oilcooler works well too, so it didn`t overheat at all last september in Southern France when trail riding in 30 degrees Celcius.

@Tommy,Tapered bars!

I'm not sure I'm interpreting this right but here goes. bar ends are under 25mm and middle section is under 30mm? is that right?

28mm at the clamp, 22mm ends. Same as regular tapered bar.

I desperately need a wiring diagram. Any ideas?

Can't find one on REPROM...but I have been known to miss stuff.

My running taillights do not work nor my running headlamp. My guess is ignition areas as they have re soldered many times.

Thanks

Solid plan.Always start with known problem areas.
If the issue is not found there start cleaning ground points.

I dug through the reprom and ill be danged if I can find a diagram.

Good luck!
