Maybe we could double up the ride and put a video camera man in one rig getting shots of your Grandfather enjoying the ride. Just a thought. Let me know and I can meet all of you at the prearranged time and place.

Big Mike,

What a great idea for posterity!! Even a still camera would be great.

Good on all of you stepping up to help out a fellow rider!!

Ride Safe.

TopDog,
You never did let me know if you want me to bring my rig as a secondary vehicle so that someone else could ride along and get either pictures or video of your grandfather riding. Let me know.

I was in a huntsville poker run a few years ago with my /2 outfit. (Yankee Dog may have been there, dont remember)
It was a benefit for a boy with a terminal disease. He wanted to ride in the hack, so of course I took him out in it. I think mom was a little worried, but hey, he wanted to ride!
Unfortunately, he died not too long after that. But, I ran into his mom & grandma some time later, they both told me how much he enjoyed it, & how he talked about it afterwards, and had pics stuck up on his wall.
if I had known it meant that much to him, I'da dropped by his house for more rides!

Anyhow, Im glad your grandad will get his wish. make sure you post a pic of him on here!

Doug

I remember that one. I think it was my first poker run with the RR. Good cause, but with a sad ending.

Riding to Columbia SC

We will be going down I-485 to I-77 South to Columbia. We will be leaving Harrisburg NC about 8am. Should be close to Rock Hill by 8:45 or so, and in Columbia by around 10:00 am. We would love to have more ride along with us. How about an ADV Convoy?? :)

Look out for a Black Ural and Blue Aprilia Pegaso 650 (Wife's) going South.

Anyone wanting to ride along can call me on my cell @ 704-340-0635.

Thanks!

Scott & Laura
Harrisburg NC
