GS at Ravinia

Anyone here at Ravinia Thursday night for the Matisyahu show? Had a guy pull up next to me with a new(?) GS, quite nice.

Saw a grey and red 'LWR special' 1150GSA yesterday outside a camera rental shop off fullerton(?) swung by and admired it on my way over to a fellow inmates house. Anybody want to claim ownership?

cheers

In my limited northshore cruising I have come to find there are some very nice, new, shiny, low-mileage, hugely farkled GSA's in that neck of the woods...the starbucks parking lot is like a BMW dealership.

It's true, I've been seeing GS's everywhere out and about in that area. I used to see Harleys being ridden by guys with loafers on, now I guess the BMW is the way to go for these guys. Still, can't help but admire them when I see them. I WILL eventually have one!

Two years and I think we will start to see some pretty nice used 1200's. I road around lake MI last weekend and probably counted 15 just on the way to Evanston.

I understand why! Spend $20,000 on a bike and get an extra 15miles per gallon over the wife's Lexus for free.

True story. When the throw back Paul Smart Ducati finally becomes the "It" bike, they will be giving away beemers on the Northshore.

I think thosre are the guys that were riding the Huge-tired Harleys last year. Historically when I've seen BMW riders, they tend to have ATGATT, lately I've been seeing a lot of guys on BMW's in T-shirts and shorts. Even the GS riders.

I saw two guys in Lake Geneva in early June on GSA's. They were going around and around and around while I sat enjoying my pizza. Jeans and a tee was their gear, as well as full panniers and top boxes complete with all the stickers of places they had been to....I was carrying an Arai XD and wearing moto boots so when I waved and was ignored I was slightly suprised...but maybe this is a growing trend. I did see and ADV sticker...it made me sad.
