That's ok, I never had any intent on going anyway. I'm spoiled, since I can ride out my front door. It was a little wet here today and I spent most of it, clearing my trials sections and just got done riding the trials bike a little bit. |

My big trip of the day, was Fox Lake to N.W. Chicago, without getting rained on nor struck from behind in traffic (with an XT225).

Put the hurt on Jzee's old Husky this weekend. Only did about 30 miles. 25 or so on the Bass Lake singletrack up in the UP. Great run through the woods. I need some new plastics though. Duct tape will hold it over for the time being.

Wish I was there, 17 hours in the truck and we were home from Florida.

Monaville rd. to Fairfield rd. 134 to 120 120 to 83 83 to 137 137 to 21 21(Milwaukee Ave) to Foster ave.
Foster ave. East to around Pulaski (Crawford), then working my way a few blocks North and East to NEIU, near where I live. Only one guy tail-gated me. I gave him a dirty look at a traffic light and he backed off (perhaps for other reasons). Alexd

(I've stopped doing it all the way through when driving alone. I usually go to a Microtel Hotel around Chattanooga, or the Tail of the Dragon area, breaking the trip up into two parts. I get in early and sleep, then leave at 2am or so and beat the rush-hour traffic around Atlanta). Alexd

Hey all, I try to lurk instead of post but I am looking for advice/recommendations. I own a GS Adventure and looking for more places to ride off-road to continue to work on skills from my RawHyde class last year. But it seems challenging to find something with varying degrees of difficulty and within a couple hours for a day ride.
From lurking I have learned of the couple club locations but I am not thinking that would be a great venue for a enduro bike of that size (for me or those around me). I know of the Kane county gravel roads and the bong rec area (WI) as well, but was hoping for something possibly more techincal. I also have found the T.W.A.T. which I hope to run later this year but that is a multi day thing. Any Advice (Other than buy a smaller bike to play with) ??Thanks in advance

Me too! I want a fun free place to ride, capable of handling my dual sport, off road, and MX bikes, close to home, and also FREE!
Please post directions to this place so I can go there! Thanks
