I was out yesterday, rode around a bit, went to the Cobra lounge to meet some fellas from Halffast.com, rode around some more, then went home. We were really there to deliver a CB160 though.

Little rain doesn't bother us, we are from Michigan!

Probably coming back out another evening too, in the next few weeks.

I rode my dirt bike.

It was all that was running and would fit in the trailer with the delivery.

There's been some interest in doing some exploring around those tension lines near MI City IN sat morning. Let's plan on getting out there ~10 AM?

Ha! Didn't know there was a prison there! We just turn off 12 whenever we see a dirt path. Can you make it Sat?

I'm off work, but I'm not sure I can go with. My bike is apart at the moment and I don't think I'll have time to get iy back together by Saturday Morning...but we'll see.

DNR is who actually patrols that area. I have no idea how often, but I've talked to a lot of guys that have gotten tickets back in there.

4- taking in the view overlooking the beach in Michigan City/Long Beach? that stretch of Lake Shore Drive is packed with beachgoers

5 - L to R gassing up in the morning Dave's KLR, Y2's GS650 on loan, CV's X-Ch, damn- what is that new bike in front

Looking forward to the next ride, but no sand please. The Cliffs? Indiana Badlands?

Looks like it was a fun ride. The sand out there is extremely deep...kind of like riding on a dune.

I wish I could have gone, but woke up at 1100 and worked on the bike most of the day.

R. Markus, the wet sand conditions that you show in your pics would have been ideal compared to the desert like conditions we had to endure.

I took the KLR to the pressure washer this morning to get rid of the trace elements of sand. My chain was still full of it after coming back from Indiana. I have ridden in sand conditions before but nothing quite like this. Paddle tires would have been the hot setup.
