No. If I lived in the city I would be on in in a heart beat. YOu should be able to get some ciy folk to join you. I just do not feel like an hr ride to ride in the "city ghettos" is a good use of my time. I can be to Janesville in an hr. Back roads.

My oldest is moving back to the city from Seattle due to a new job. Since he will be living by garfield Park he may come along as a guide. LOL HE knows the Garfiled Park, Little Village, Check City areas pretty well due to his living down there for a few years.

You old guys are up early . Skinner you should go and give Chicago an early fireworks show with the studded tires on the street. I'm sure that'd go over well .

Was someone on an older BMW just off rte 31 (north of mchenry) the other day?

The only tire I ride in the city is a knobbie. Not sure why, it is just the only tire I have ever used on any bike.

There is a guy in Garfield Park, just East of the GP Conservatory that bought up a couple of adjacent empty lots and turned them into a little track. We call it "Ghetto-Cross". It is pretty lame when compared to anything outside of the city, but for being hidden in Chicago, it is pretty fun. Especially after a heavy rain.

If anybody wants to go check it out, just PM me.

ghetto-ride

Count me in for a city ride, I am digging finding new neighborhoods on my Hyper and then getting out of there as fast as possible. Though tomorrow is supposed to be 10 degrees or something wintery.

Damn- the ghettocross sounds like fun. Too bad I just sold my NX.

I'll meet you there and see if my Strom is really a dual-sport.

Ohh crap, I should have looked back here sooner. I didn't realize ghetto-cross would raise so much interest.

Ummm, since I just woke up and it is later on Sat night, how about this. Next Sunday morning, April 5th, meet for breakfast at the Golden Nugget at the corner of Pulaski and Diversey. From there we can hit Logan Square, Humboldt Park, and Garfield Park, where ghetto-cross resides.

Time requests?
