Installed a new high fender today, used parts of the OEM fender for fork guards

Surprised you opted for high fender? Low fender won't go flopping in the breeze when you're cruising at 990 speeds

An for today's idiotic question of the day.... does a backpack/camelpack go under your chest protector or over it when riding? I just got one as a gift and was stumped.

I put the camelbak on top of the chest protector. Then again, I've seen plenty of guys running it under the chest protector.

I had the high fender on my 950, did no flopping at 138 mph (GPS speed) however, the first clay patch you hit off road locks up the wheel with the low fender
And it's too late now as the low fender has been cut to peices

It was fun to take parts off a $15,000 motorcycle and take a 4 inch grinder with a cut off wheel to it!

Truthfully, I usually put mine on the outside

I have a MULE and wear it outside. I works fine that way.

On a side note, I stopped in MCC on Wednesday and they are selling their 2012 TE310's for 5k. Just under 6 OTD. Tempting I also found a great used 2006 TE610 with 3000 miles in like new condition for 3K OBO . All these choices

Andrew
I do both, depending upon the size of the camelback.

Does anyone have any ideas?I have over 25 years riding experience and own 4 airheads currently, don't ask why.;)

$1K for tax, title and registration!? DuPage County sales tax, on $5K, is ~$360 what's the other $640 going towards?
