If you can borrow one, take it to Brushpoppers and test it out there

Whaddaya mean "try"? Try around the block twice or try for 3 days on the TWAT?

I was thinking a fifteen to twenty minute street ride to get a feel for it. Id probably bring my Vulcan up since you are a fair ways from me in Elgin.

Cool, do'able, though not tomorrow, as I'm heading out to the Brushpoppers DS ride. Shoot a PM as to when you might be available.

Spotted Cow is good, or any robust IPA?

For those of you that live up by Fox Lake, the BP station (49 U.S. 12, Fox Lake, IL 60020) sells Sunoco Standard 110 race gas year 'round. The pump is out by the diesel pumps and the fuel must be pumped into a container (not a vehicle). This is the stuff I use when I store my bikes for the winter. It doesn't break down and it won't gum up your carb(s). Additionally, it will not harm your engine (when you burn it up, while riding, next Spring). IIRC, it's $7/gallon.
