Vintage/antique bike show in St. Augustine FL 5/17

The Riding Into History Coucourse is taking place 5/17 at the World Golf Village again this year. It's supposed to be one of the best on the east coast. Just an FYI.

Riding Into History

The RIH show is now in its ninth year. All revenues go to breast cancer awareness. There is a $10 donation for spectators. Entering a bike is FREE. We have a few spots available on the show field. If you have a REALLY nice pre-1998 bike, bring it to the World Golf Village between 7:00 and 8:30 AM Saturday and we'll get you in.

For more information go to www.ridingintohistory.org

I wish I had a bigger trailer I'd bring more. Right now just the Guzzi and Norton.

Unless something breaks on it, I plan to ride the R80 ST up.

Plan B is to ride the F650 if something goes sour on the ST.

If that R80ST is nice, get there before 0900 and we'll sign it up for thhe show. You get in free and get a bag full of goodies as our thanks.

I had an ST, neat bikes and pretty darn rare nowadays.

Look for my orange Laverda SFC, blue and silver BMW airhead cafe, and possibly, my newly acquired '95 GSPD.

Thanks, it's not a show bike, but a pretty decent repaint in the original red and other than that it looks unmolested.

Here's a pic from the guy I bought it from - I haven't taken any clear pics of it yet...

I may be able to take you up on the offer to sign it up for the show. Where/who do I see at the gate?

Looks like a nice bike. Come to World Golf Village. Follow the signs to the show. If you arrie before 0900 you'll have no problem getting in. There will be a sign for Registration with lots of people, bikes and trailers in the area. Pull in and you'll be directed to the registration desk. Ask for me.

It's a great show, I've gone the last two years. I'm hoping I can go this year, but I don't think I'll be able to make it out this time.

More Riding Into History

May rain tomorrow, but weather for Saturday looks excellent. We have about 250 bikes pre-registered.

I have this last minute addition, bought from a friend of a friend it arrived from Texas last night. It will be in the special "Icons of Motorcycling" display.

I just finished changing out the lower throttle cables and the upper choke cable - couldn't believe some of what I found. Also welded on a new sidestand pad and welded up a crack at one of the spot welds for the left front turn signal stalk. Cleaned up all the electrical connectors and refreshed the paste under the ignition module. Despite finding one new small crack in the ignition coil, I think I'm good to ride it up to the show after synching the carbs in the morning.

Woo Hoo!

That 150 is worth the price of riding up up there for me - so many of my friends had one when we were starting out. Great old stuff!

Can't wait!

Just got back from the show a short while ago. All I can say is Wow!!! Some of the finest kinds of bikes - all kinds.

And lrutt, I love the Norton. Love the Guzzi even more.

Thanks to Adsinger for meeting me and hustling me through the registration process - the registration folks were up to their collective elbows in walk-ins and did a great job processing everyone expediently. First time for me to ever actually "show" a bike.

Saw a few fellow ADV Riders I know, saw a couple of other folks that I've met at other events. The R80 ST got me there and back without any drama, and even got some looks from passers-by at the show.

All in all a pretty good day.
