Well, I would, but the little red Ruckus went to Kentucky about a month ago.

BTW, this photo if freakin' phenomenal... I love that Adventure Rider (okay, maybe not JM) is such a great blend of motorcycles and exceptional photography.

this is far from the greatest technical photo here

but I bet he is the only guy who broke his leg in two places, his foot in five places then laid there and lit up a smoke and took his own crash photo while laying on the side on the moutnain waiting for help in Colorado then snap a self portrait

I keep looking through my stuff an nothing even comes close enough to warrant a front page

some of these shots are absolutely humbling

ah well, maybe next year on the ALCAN the right opportunity will present itself to earn the honor

or maybe if I actually worked on my photography more

maybe a little more time at DGRIN and less here

That is amazing!

I really think two things rule above all others in getting great photos:

1. Get close. This looks like an okay photo but not a great one:

until you cut away pixels that don't carry their weight and get close:

Ditto:

2. And the other is shooting when the sun is low in the horizon (the golden hours). These shots have no action and would have looked bad in the midday sun and would never have made people gasp like they do now:

I thought this was jaw-dropping and I've been tempted to put it on the home page several times:

I just keep hesitating over blur issues. I hope I'm not being too much of a sharpness snob.

Not nearly as exciting as most here, but some of my favorites.

Hey Baldy, I know you are busy with the updates to ADVrider and lots of other things, but if you get a chance, can you take my name off of this pic and put Chain on it. I feel bad for taking the credit from someone elses ride and pic. I posted it here to nominate it as front page worthy. Sorry for the mix up. Thanks

Everybody sing:
"Towering in gallant fame
Scotland my mountain hame
High may your proud standards
Gloriously wave!
Land of my high endeavor
Land of the shining river
Land of my heart forever
Scotland the brave!
"

ok, so I'm not Scottish... but I do nominate this pic I took of my bike in Scotland this summer. While the England is not blessed with tremendous offroad possibilities, Scotland is full of off pavement goodness!

Nice pic. Do you have a version with more pixels?
