Yes an M endorsement...
If she takes a MSF course and passes , she will only have to take the written test.... It use to be a 3 day beginner course $69 ?

when i think VA,

i think nova! love north VA, it sure is underpopulated and poor, with many excellent roads to sit in the summer bumper-to-bumper and work on your tan! oh, and did i mention those wonderful officers and amounts to be payed for moving violations!

Not any more. If you take and pass the MSF course you get a thrity day license on the spot signed by the instructor. You take that to the DMV and you get an M endorsement. No written test required any more with successful competion of the MSF.

Changed last July, unless she is less than 18.

Oh yeah all roads in VA are bad. Just like the image above of the traffic.

Lady Draco, That 598 to Bluefield is another example of a Virginia road with entirely too many curves, but what can you do, you got to get to the store right?

Mtn500, The first picture I posted was from a look out tower. There don't seem to be too many still standing anymore. The first 3 flights of stairs have been removed so I didn't get the view from the top. It's on Butt Mt. in Giles Co.

Sure is fun heading up Mountain Rd to get to Butt Mtn Mr. Bob. Cutting across the AT over towards White Rocks is also a blast. I need to get back down there and ride some of that really good VA stuff soon. Miss it being stuck up here in the outskirts of NOVA.

It sure is a great area to ride. I've ridden it in the past, but I'm getting up there a lot more since we built a house near Eggleston. I didn't realize there was a lookout tower on Butt Mt. until I saw it while admiring the view from my front porch. I decided I better do some exploring.

If you havn't been there in a while Mountain Lake would shock you. I call it Mountain Puddle now.

NOVA's not too bad if you can stay out of the traffic. My son lives in Culpeper, lots of pretty country in the area.
