KTM EXC / XC-W or CRF-X would all work. We're likely starting and ending in Green River. Edge won't let pre-reserve for the trip and/or may not have their demos yet. Jim Ryan down in Moab at Dual Sport Utah may have something but would have to shuttle bikes and after 4 days would likely be about $1G out the door. Might as well pick something up at $2-3G I figure and then sell it perhaps. It doesn't need to be nice and the terrain isn't super hard, a XR400 might work or even a XR650R but has to be setup for a bigger guy and be somewhat light...

Let me know if anyone has any ideas or wants to make something like $500 letting their bike run for 4 days.... Needs to have long range capabilities ideally...

thanks andre

2002 XR400

Ready for ADV riding! I need the cash, so i'd rather sell than rent, and I'd hate to see it go.

300 miles on new top end including: (all tech stuff done by Lindsey Machine!, but grunt stuff by me..)
-valves
-valve guides
-rings
-wiseco 11:1 high compression piston
-cam chain
-cylinder hone/bore

Mikuni Pumper Carburator (~$500 new)
Tall rise fat bars (I'm 6'2", set up for me)
Scotts steering damper(~$500 new)
hand gaurds
wrapped header
200 Watt stator (ricky, $150ish
100 watt headlight
headlight roost screen
bash plate
pro moto billet rear rack (DS ready, $150)
dirt bagz saddle bags(google$ it, 150?)
rear disk gaurd
transparent desert tank $250ish
acerbis rear fender w/ LED brake light $100ish?
Baja Designs Street legal kit $400ish?
75% percent of an extra parts bike

I'm keeping my XR650R that is set up the same way. I built this up for my wife when she rides and a light bike for me when she's not, and she's not riding as much as she should so it's got to go! she rides fire roads, so I'll put her on my XR650 on the dirt while i ride my commuter Wee-Strom, and switch for highway. Do me a favor and make an offer. This thing rips.

...can i come?
