That's any bike, it seems. Nobody here is happy with one bike for more than 3-6 months, excluding GISkev.

I reverted to a 16 year old bike that I'm forced to be happy with. Wide, comfy seat. Smooth power. Old cushy suspension. Soft forks, no e-Start. A total of about 8 different wires in the wiring harness. Super basic, old piece of shit that will work just fine.

I just got done work'n on Milena's XT 225 (The Bear), and it seems they built the bike around carb. We have snow bike kits on a WR 450 and a MXC 525. It takes twice as long to put the kit in the Yamie, as it does the KTM.
Work'n on a KTM is enjoyable. The work I've done on the two yamie's makes me break things, as I throw my wrench across the room.

What? I had the Strom for 9 years, Still have my 01 400, 06 KLR, I think I've had the FZ 4 years. I have
a Wolverine (not Red Dawn) I bought new in 98. Not one of them has ever had a valve cover off. Oil
and filters only. Do you think if I paint them orange I can use my tool box more often?

Well when you spread xxxx amount of miles a year over 32 vehicles they tend to last awhile. Even a ktm would last 6 months if I had 32 to ride.

Anyone have the latest on the Kokopelli? I think it has been warm....melting snow, but wonder how it was this weekend.....if anyone knows.

I understand that snow is coming to the area on Sunday and Monday......but temps back up on Tues, Wed, Thurs, Fri...etc...

We are riding from Fruita to Moab on Friday....and wonder about the conditions.

A PM would be greatly appreciated.

Thanks, John

I was in Moab, and at 10,000ft in the La Sals last week. It was ridiculously warm in the mountains, and near 70 in the valley. I'm sure you'll be fine.

I dont know much about the older models, but in 08 and newer you have to make the distinction between the [SX, XC] and the [XC-W, EXC].
The XC has the same motor as the SX, and the XC-W has the same motor as the EXC.
You can equally compare the SX, XC with the Honda's, Yamie's, and Kawie's.
The XC-W, EXC dont really compare, and weren't trying to. They have there own (good) thing going.
During my used KTM bike search I'm running into a lot of e-start only bikes. Opinions/experiences I've always had both electric and kick. It had be a long walk out of the woods if something happens to the battery.
