I missed out on thie '02 KTM 640 Enduro for $600 last weekend. Had a spun cam bearing but no valve or piston damage. Sealed the deal but then someone called on the bike marked "sold" and offered $900 for it I guess. Pretty bummed but such is life...

Planning to head to 5 mile on Friday. I need to figure out my WR for our weekend in Moab in April.

Ha.

For the record, fellas, I never said that to anyone--and no such petition exists.

I couldn't care less what you're riding as long as you can go farther than 200km a day during a motorcycle trip.

But I won't deny that I've enjoyed my BMWs. I can't own 33 different bikes at one time--I don't have the space or the money--and my wife certainly wouldn't allow it. So, I have to pick the right bike for me. TheGSA is my Quiver of One.

Question for the Utardians

Figured I ask this here, myself and a couple buds are heading up your way to ride the Swell at the end of Apr. The plan is to do a day riding the Racetrack, some of the colored trails and Temple Mtn loop. I'm trying to decide if we should head down to Whitewash ORV area the second day or ride the Little Grand Canyon/Goodwater Rim area. Moab is a little crazy this time of year and that day will be a Sunday. Also we'll be staying in GR and hauling the bike out to the staging areas both days. I just rode allot of the classic Moab stuff in Jan so it's not like I need a slick rock fix yet Also we'd like to avoid the Apr crowds in Moab.

Goodwater Rim area looks pretty spectacular just not sure what to expect as far as the trails go. We're "B" riders on a 300xcw and 525, 100mi range. If we did the GW rim we'd haul 'em out there and ride from the truck. I have some decent tracks of the area and maps so finding my way around shouldn't be too much of an issue.

My question is; is it all graded dirt or are there some challenges to be had in the area with a little exploring. If it's easy smooth stuff I'll wait and hit it on the XRR during a DS ride.

Any info would be appreciated - caromin*at#yahoo$dot%com
Thanks

Fantastic. Send it my way and I'll be sure he signs it before we ride.

If you're good with a word processor, maybe you could type another petition that limits the number of times he can take a crap per day of riding.

I'm kidding about the last part, of course. I'm sure his fiber / prune / milk of magnesia is to blame for the active bowel. Or, it was just the food in Baja.

BTW, I'm riding down to Moab in early May (leaving SLC on Wed or TH the 2nd or 3rd of May). I'll be riding the Swell and possibly dipping down to Goblin Valley for a night, then over to Moab the next day where I want to ride Gemini Bridges, etc. I'll be on my 1150GSA so nothing too crazy.

Just throwing it out if anyone wants to join me for the ride down--no need to hang out the entire weekend--you're free to do what you want. I'm meeting my Father in Law (he's coming from Vegas) to do some rock crawling with him.

I will be leaving Friday around noon.
