Thanks for thinking of me....someday I promise I'll be fun again.

I'm traveling through Utah next week, staying in Moab Wednesday and Thursday nights. My plan is to ride the White RIm Trail Thursday. Anybody want to join? I'll have a hotel room; so, that's covered if you're traveling from far. Send me a PM. Thanks.

We rode from five mile eureka cherry creek today and hit almost no snow. Another week and the ride over the mountain should be perfect.

Cherry Creek Double

Since the winter has been long & hard (at least in our opinion), Trailtwister & I decided to visit Cherry Creek. Saturday was the selected as BADB day so we lit up the 950 & 990 heading to Eureka. TT had found a path from Redwood Rd over the hill that we had not ridden. Anyone recognize this? ....

Arriving at CC, we pulled over for a snack at an old ranch site. Recognize this?...

The riding temps were perfect with very few other riders at CC. TT wanted to show me a nice shortcut thru the creek. Turned out to be a bit of a challenge. I passed...

As it turned out the gods were not happy with that sacrifice so TT found a nail to drive into his Mefo. This consumed a bit more time thus satisifying the gods of biking...

As they say, any day biking is better than....

End day one - 212 miles

Day one was so much fun that we decided we needed a repeat performance. But this time on single track. So we arrived Sunday with my 500EXC & TT on his trusty 300 XC-W. Again, the temps were perfect& the trails were "tacky". ...

OK, I lied about the tacky part. More aptly described as "tacky interspersed with white & sloppy". But, so what. We are here to ride...

You may note that I am testing the new LED headlight system. Cresting one of the ridges I decided to collect some data on how the headlight would stand up if it were thrown into a juniper. I like the one on the right...

Answer - It survived quite well!

Time for a snack break at the end of an exciting down hill slop run. Sure looked different last October...

Total distance for the day - 28.3 miles. Why did it take so long?

Another great day in the junipers!

The forecast was entirely too nice for the previous 4 days so I bailed and did some exploring with my youngest son. I'm working on a ride report, but here are some "rub it in" teaser photos of an awesome 4 days. Bonus points if you can name all the locations:

What great time with your son. Those are the times he will remember the most. I hope do some rides like that with my daughter. How old is your son?

This is my youngest son and he is 12. He loves this kind of stuff and is a great riding partner.
