I think its some kind of chloride mix.
If its wet it sticks to your bike and can leave marks. It sucks.
I think your talking about sodium chloride. A lot of mines use it for dust control on their roads. It works quite well for that until it gets wet. Then it can become quite slick. When it dries on a vehicle it sticks like concrete. Kind of like the mud out at Knolls. I wouldn't recommend leaving it on a car or bike. It will start to eat into metal pretty quickly.

Colbert Report DS!

The April 5th Colbert Report (free online) showcases a DS rider wheelie-ing through the Lincoln Tunnel commute as the spirit of America. I had a little tear run down my cheek. Steven says that he filmed it on his phone.

I loved the video. Thanks for telling [me] about it.

After riding with Rick, I was inspired to learn to wheelie. So I rolled the throttle of my GSA and got that bitch about 6" up. The rich get richer . . .

Yeah, that's about right.

Told my bro who lives in Vegas that "I can wheelie [now]" so I showed him.

You can only imagine his amazement when I was almost 6" off the ground.

Bugged-eyed and everything.

Probably a fluke, but Todd-squads wife's BMW stripped the splined shaft and the clutch
plate splines. I know I told you to just give a good clutch pop to loft the front end.
I just forgot to mention you're not on a Yamaha.

My 1150 spindle was on it's way when I did a clutch but I did ride the shit out of it and did put nitrous on it. A few wheelies should be ok.

Looks like you ran into one of the desert 'blobs'.

I was down south a couple days ago and it seems the counties have been busy doing alot of grading. Anybody see the same?

As big as Andre is, it was probably just slammed from over his head prior to the click of the shutter.
