Unfortunately I stopped more then I wanted. Fing gates. I also forgot my magic potion I drink so I had to stop and eat.

face piles of miles w/ smiles...

Ryman and Pluric met me at Bryce Canyon after I was released from my obligations there and we rode to Powell and camped out, then up to Escalante, Boulder, Factory Butte, Goblin Valley, Swell, slab home... here's a few teasers, but they're mobile phone pics and you'll want to hold out for the ones Pluric shot on his nice camera!

Here's the Super Yammer entering the San Raf.

...and Ryman digging L. Collett. (funniest thing... there was this super hot chick pole dancing on a tree, and you notice a bit of her ass in the upper left of this pic. Pretty hot huh?)

more later, I gotta go kiss my Momma. We're BBQ-ing chicken and we have a large family...

What a fun weekend!!!

When life gives you hail,

Ryan makes wheelies...

We hit a black cloud hail storm just getting onto twisty 12. I stopped
to get a face mask and Ryan had to play on the rain. Oh and in the sun too.

Thanks for the ride K and P.
I forgot my camera so I'll just entertain with my clean brand of wit and humor as soon as P-dog starts giving up the cool pics. Sick ass wash riding today Kev!

Walking through Costco this morning buying stuff for a mothers day lunch I was thinking how much I'd rather be staring at your back tire. Glad you got out.

We had a little (too much) of that too.

A 400 floats through it with Kev on the throttle,

The Tenere, ahhh, not so much.

It will float just fine but the planing speed is just a lot higher then I think anyone would want to ride that thing. Maybe you need those tires they put on fat cats.

I met with Ryan at Green River and headed off to Bryce to meet up with Kevin.
I'm not quite sure but he seems to have an attitude.

I think 500 mile days on a KTM seat tend to do that to you.

Highway 12 helped him forget about that seat for a few corners.

A little storm left.

Found Kevin in Bryce.

Kev mentioned that maybe we should get something to eat before heading to Powell.
You can take the boy out of Vernal, but you can't take the Vernal out of the boy.
Ryan was in the dumpster fighting these kids for food scraps. We offered to buy him
lunch if he would come out of there. Might just be a KLR in that boys future.

Ok, if you insist ... Here's the story.

I had owned and wrenched several KTM dirt bikes. I also owned a Suzuki Vstrom for about a year, and actually used it in the dirt quite a bit. Wrenching and riding the Zook is way different than any dirt bike I've ridden.

Then I got the Adventure. We picked it up in Idaho and rode that day. Immediately on the first dirt ride I noticed it handles far more like a dirt bike than the 'strom did.

Later, I'm finally at home with the 9fiddy in my garage, staring at it for hours (naturally). It's next to the 300 XCW. I look at the 950, look at the 300, comparing ... I notice the 950 has pretty much the same construction as the 300, but bigger.

So I said to the KTM 950 Adventure S, 'You're nothing but a big-ass dirt bike'. And the BADB and I lived happily ever after.

I thought I was hauling butt on the way down until I test drove the Tene and learned that there are still gears to be had after 100mph!
I hear that's a 2 week ban for even suggesting it. I assume the little shit is not an inmate.
