Enjoyed a great ride this past Wednesday night through Saturday...working our way south of Roosevelt through the Bookcliffs, down towards Grand Junction, Kokopelli Trail, Manti LaSals, and then back up through Nine Mile Canyon, Reservation Ridge and home via Wolf Creek Pass.

I'm working on a ride report, but here are a few teaser pics (maybe you can spot the location):

Wow! Cool shots Mknight! Wish I could have joined this one. Some of those spots look a little familiar.

Move back to Utah. I need my old tent mate back. It gets cold out in the desert at night.
Bitch.

First shot is Atchee Ridge in the Bookcliffs south of Bonanza Utah and before Mack/Loma Colorado. The others are of the Kokopelli trail (had never ridden it either).

Next is "Top of the World" (spur off of the Kokopelli closer to Moab), and the others are of the Manti LaSals, but not the portion of the Kokopelli that goes up into the LaSals.

Lots of other photos from the trip coming later.

Rick, why did you not call me? I would've come along . . . if only as comic relief.

And to be waaayyyyy off the subject. I'm suppose to meet Ryman Friday 10:30am at the Chevron station
in Green River to then go meet GSKev for a weekend of dirt debauchery. So be there or I guess, don't.

Either way I'm going to blame the cold waters of Lake Powell for any alleged, ahhh...., shall we say, shortages?

Shit. It's not my job to go down a phone list. This ride was mentioned, posted, reposted
and notice given. Count your blessings you didn't go. This made Baja look easy.

mknight now makes last weekend look easy. Need a KTM to run with these boys.

Forgive me, but I was laying low in Utards because of, well, you know . . .

I'm hoping to take some backroads to Vegas this weekend (WED-SAT) unless my plans fall through. If they do, it'll be next weekend if any of you want to go--inc Rick.

No I don't know. Did I miss something???

After Kev and Ryan's little lesson in dirt abuse I may be switching over to water for a while.
It's that time of year when Bear Lake and the hills behind it call my name.

I just got off the phone with my daughter. She passed the riders course two weekends ago
and wants to take a bike out. I hate these parental crossroads. I told my daughter and
daughter in-law they could only use the stuff if they took the course. I even said I would pay
thinking they would never actually do it......well, careful what you offer. I bought the daughter
in law a Honda Reflex last week to get her eased into traffic. My son said that's all she rides now.
I gave him the SV650 to ride with her. Now my daughter wants the other SV.
I hate the thought that if they got hurt I would feel the blame. I also can't be a hypocrite and not
let them ride.

Ahhhggghhhhh.

Pull the string out and let's ride from SLC to Morgan for lunch, then back to SLC for a fond farewell.

Or, ride the backroads to Las Vegas this weekend with me alone.

I have never denied the KTM advantage, I just don't like the potential of this
on my weekends.
