TT I'm in Bear Lake right now. Kinda had my heart set on some water and trying to find the
single track Trackhead showed me last year. You boys have fun.

I have recorded GPS tracks from Mexico to Torrey UT and have good information on route up to Hwy 6 at Soldier Summit then it gets fuzzy. See tracks on GPSXchange.com

Any help on where it is signed for motorized would be apreciated.
Jerry,
I thought I'd scanned GWT maps for you last fall and emailed them to you. Maybe not. Maybe it was HogWild that I sent them too. I'll see what I can find and get them to you when I find them.

You did. I am real lame, I can't get them to print. No matter what I do ("current view" with whole page showing) it only prints center section of each map. The document is 14" x19" and all I can get to print is 8.5x11 cneter.

Looking to setup a ride tomorrow, need a few good accomplices. Thinking Hobble Creek single track or Strawberry area exploration, if GISKev wants to volunteer, last year's route was awesome.

Shoot me a PM or text 801-5ate0-ate201

The reputation for your iron butt proceeds you, but I'll be trucking it over to the trail-head (room for one more bike if you want a lift). Got your number, meet at the trail head at 10:00? Rhino channel?

Groovy Saturday chores...........................

.......I know that strip could be wider but there is a glint of steel belt in that center groove.....not so groovy.....that tire ran a 400 mile ride just prior to that glint.......

I'm down as well. When and where do we meet? Coming from SLC, probably truck it up if it's all that far. Knobbies hate pavement.

Sunday

DS riders could meet at einsteins bagels at 3900 S Wasatch blvd at 9:00, kickstands up at 9:30? That'd put us at the trail head around 10:15-30 ish methinks.

You trailer trash need to get DS tires! You miss half the fun!

BCC/Midway/Walsburg paved, then dirt... if commander51 shows on his BADB then light bikes might want to split from us for the single track.

That'll work! 0900 it is. With this goofy weather it may be nippy over Guardsman in the AM. Is this really June ?

It's nippy up North. Windy and a good chill on the ridges. The KLX actually finished a ride.

a side note for V strommers

I'll be by-passing my stock high pressure fuel filter ($326) that lives in the fuel pump for an inline, more accessible filter via this mod http://www.vstrom.info/Smf/index.php/topic,6105.0.html

so if you hear a high pitched whine from your strom, open the gas tank and fire up the bike and put your ear to the gas tank and you'll know if your filter is getting plugged if you hear the singing in the tank. it's pretty common. If so there's an easy way to prove the filter is doing it's job and getting plugged by doing the flow test which takes 3 minutes.

Flow test:

1. remove the left side plastic triangle body piece.
2. disconnect the fuel line from the pump.
3. hook a hose to it and put the other end in a bucket.
4. turn the key on. the pump will kick on for a few seconds pushing gas into the bucket. turn the key off. do this a total of 4 times.
5. if you have less than 400 cc of gas in the tank, your high pressure/high dollar fuel filter is doing its job, and needs to be replaced. time for the mod, or the cash.

I had about 100 ccs. I'll be ordering parts for this soon, so if you've got the same situation let me know and I'll order extras. Should be relatively cheap, and makes switching the filter out a snap. If you let it go you could cook your pump ($400+)

Anyone know where I can find a master link or just a master link clip on a Saturday night or Sunday morning? Just put a new chain on, and apparently they didn't think I needed the clip.(no it's not a rivet.)
