Where is a good close to SLC place to take a 'never ridden before, but I want to try it' type?

Probably ride for less than 2 hours- we have other commitments in the afternoon. Looking for an open area that is relatively flat, blah, blah, blah.

My Jeep has a fold down rear seat. I would ask that you use a blanket, tarp or something.

Two hours? Ya, sure Superman.

According to the special technique you taught me, it might take an hour and 55 minutes worth of whining and begging before she gives in.

Its been a while since I have been up there. Is there a place that doesn't have any steep drop offs? This gal is an experienced Mtn. bike rider, but no moto gogo. Figured we would work on controls and basic maneuvering without any distractions or intimidating obstacles this go round. She wants to take the MSF class after she feels like she has the basics down. Probably a quick learner, but you never know...

The terminology is "Tantric Begging". I teach classes at the library on Tuesdays.

Cool. We ended up going over to Jordan river OHV park. They used to have a big flat spot where the state did juvenile OHV classes, but that's gone now. We used a small open space until the prima-donna moto-x guys started rolling in and parked *right* on top of the cones we had set up for her to ride drills around. Nice guys.

She did pretty good. Only one major crash and burn that was scary, but the gear took care of that.

We are talking about doing a mellow trail ride tomorrow... stay tuned...

Damn. I should have remembered that term. The way you say it makes it sound borderline illegal.

I guess it would depend on the age or mammal catagory you are riding.

This'd be a good time to take the highway on the west side of the valley, from Sage Cr. Jcn (north of Randolf) to Cokeville. Cuts off ~ 5 miles, but with a lower speed limit.

I like the Bear Town restaurant, just E of the jcn of US189 and Wy89. Prime rib on Fri and Sat is good. And they serve beer and wine.

I'll join for part of it if it's Saturday morning. If the weather is really nice Friday, who knows, maybe I'll take the day off and go anyway. I can't ride for too long but that's better than nothing.
