Bummer. Could be worse. If you were Walrus that would end your sex life for a while.

lesson learned

Mine cost me:

Brake pads and rotors, front and rear
Clutch plates
Bleeding hydraulic lines
Fork seals
Various electronics

I will never (willingly) ride through mud like that again, at least not on a bike that can't be replaced - like a KLR

At one point, it took us 2 hours to travel 200 yds up a 2% grade - and that was on the graded county road. Mud was like bowling balls

Awesome pictures!

I won't either, it almost cost me a pericardiocentesis when the mud clogged my front wheel and I put the end of the handlebar into my sternum.

I hadn't watched my video for a while. Thanks for bring'n back the memory's.

When I laid my bike down like that, the tank suction-cupped itself to the mud and I almost wasn't able to upright it again. What a day (and night). Awsome that your group took it as a challenge, and are ready for more (bummer bout the wrist though).

BTW, after my event, I bought a SPOT.

So i just bought a 2006 KTM 450 SMR not running. It has no spark, no power, nothing. I kinda need some help figuring out what is wrong with it. I suck at electrical and could use some help. Will pay with beer....

Did you take the stator out and take a peak? Bad wire in there? Stator output?

I think I have it narrowed down to a possible defective CDI. Anyone have a running 450 I could bring my cdi to and test on? Tonight would be fantastic if possible. I am trying to get this bike ready for our series' first race in about a week....Thanks guys!

It's to sit on. It's like Charmin compared to the KTM seat.
