Geez, don't you guyz have an MRI so we can see more than just the bones? I really like how the MRI scans down through the tissue and shows the nerve bundles getting squeezed and the discs getting 'sploded....

Insurance only paid for a CT scan. I don't have pics of that.

Personally, I wouldn't put any pictures of my backside up where any of the guys around here could see it....

Hope ya feel better! But look at the bright side, if you take up yoga, you'll master downward dog in a jiffy!

I honestly have no idea how it happened. It may have been a childhood accident and the undiagnosed condition just kept getting worse over time. I will try the physical therapy and yoga and see what happens. It's either that or surgery but I know surgery will only be a temporary solution and will ultimately make my back weaker and more prone to further injury.

I bet it'd be easier to be renegaded to cages than it'd be to ride a bike on pavement only. Maybe if I keep the pain under control I will buy a tiny dirt bike in a couple years. For now I'm happy I have an excuse to not ever help anyone move.

While putting the oil cap back over the oil filter, one of the bolts snapped at the head. Not a problem, use a bolt extractor to get it out, right? Nope, while extracting the bolt, the housing around the bolt cracked and broke...LC8 owners understand this is part of the left side engine case. One can't just replace the part that's broken without replacing the entire case.

So I am sitting there with 3 ADV guys who have 100s of thousands of miles of riding between us, and they are all boat mechanics as well. The best idea we had was to try and JB-Weld the cap in place, then I would do something more permanent back inLubbock...after riding 2500 miles off road.

We did our fix, and I took the bike on the road to test it. Within 5 miles, this is where I ended up.

....
So, Hick, what's the word on the case - ect - o -me? Will the patient survive? If so, in time for the Steamboat gig?

I am sure you have considered back up plan A = Load the 500 in to your truck & drive up.

I fly to Spokane tomorrow morning, and the bike should be operational by Wed or Thurs. I am committed to the CDT as well as Steamboat.
