Hopefully the rally was fun.. Are you exited to pick up your new sled?
You're gonna love it when you try one out....seriously, it's fantastic. My biggest concern is the seat area being a bit tight for me, and the heat issue, otherwise it is frickin stellar.

I'm flying out on Friday afternoon to pick up the new sled, and I'm riding straight back to SLC from St. Louis as fast as I can....I simply can't wait to get it dirty! I wish I would have had it this last weekend, the riding in steamboat is really awesome....we need to plan some group rides to go explore more man.....so much riding and so little time!

Riding the 1190 I too was feeling cramped. They didn't give you instructions or time though to set the bike up properly for your height. During the technical seminar, they demonstrated the different seat positions available so it might have helped a lot just to do a few adjustments. Either way, the engine and power were phenomenal. I see one in my future after someone else sets it up properly and takes the big hit in depreciation :)

Thanks for the heads up. I saw the dark and heavy stuff floating its way in earlier doing a Vernal-Lapoint-Roosevelt lap. I'm hoping it holds out the next couple days. Hoping to get in a run up to Dutch John tomorrow. All of the weather alerts and warnings for the are are starting to light up my phone though.

Next weekend anyone?

next weekend I may bust a variation of the Powell 700* reverse from last run since i've never seen it that direction... weather should be spectacular and I've got new knobbies to get over all the flood debris!

WooHooo!

PM me if you wanna go. moderate skills lighter bikes. I'll be on the 520. ride sunrise to sunset, stopping for gas and greasy spoons. I pack light, taking a few MRE's for when a burger just isn't on the route which is usual.

*aka: trackhead 700, but I do prefer descriptive names over honorary.
The skinny is here to lake powell on dirt as a loop.

I have an easy (rideable with winter gloves) 800 mile Mohave looped planned for pre-Xmas if you want to go. I'm going to need a break from this PNW rain in a big way by then.

Idaho Ride

Hey guys, I really wanted to go to Steamboat. But this didn't suck too bad either ... 5 days, 1500 miles of super duper ultra heavy duty boner vistas through Idaho.

Great ride with my Idaho homies (even though they were mostly riding Beamers). The new soft pack from Harcus worked great. I even snuck in a little fishing and a natural hot spring.

Checkitout...
