I may have to regear the se to go that slow. 110 is like 3rd gear Knolls should be pretty fun the 990 was a blast at the rhino rally and the se would have been down scary. Dirt roads with 450's everywhere and 100hp to make passes. What more could one ask for.
Just honk, I'll move over. Does it have a horn?

A quick update on the Dizzer:

The bike has 80% leakdown.

Suzuki won't take responsibility.

The Edge Motorsports doesn't want responsibility.

Vernal Sports Center doesn't want responsibility.

Anyone know a lawyer?

That sucks. Don't know any but get on that knows lemon law. Is it still less then a year old? If so the first step is send written notice to the manufacturer. There are sample letters on all over just search google.

I've heard of leakdown problems in the old Nikasil E34's but not in a motorcycle. Did your cylinder compression ever feel like it was decreased or missing? I guess if you had to kickstart it every time (friggin' XRR's) you might notice? 20% of normal is certainly out of any reasonable spec....

Didn't you need a rebuild on this bike that might have been mishandled? I don't think I'd look for a lawyer yet, but I'd certainly have more than phone contact with the folks involved.....in fact, a bright, sunny, busy Friday or Saturday might call for a visit with the bike brought into the store to converse over.........

Hick if they end up screwing you and not doing anything I'd be happy to help you pull it apart and fix it. I just did my 525 and it was about $400 for piston, rings, gaskets, and to hone the cyclinder. To renickel it it's about $200. Or part it and buy a 950.

Thanks, unfortunately, it may come to that. I checked on parts today and it would run me somewhere between $200 and $400 depending on what damage was done.

I spent about 10 hours on the phone this week talking with customer service as well as the two dealerships that have worked on the bike

I was on the phone all day Friday trying to find an attorney in Utah that handles Lemon Law for motorcycles. I even called the Utah Bar Association for a reference. I still have not found an attorney who does these cases, let alone one that will take the case.

If I find one that will take the case and feels it's a slam dunk for a replacement...then I will wait it out. If however, the chances of recovery are slim, I will probably lose less money by fixing it myself - with the much appreciated help of friends.

On a positive note, I did my second-to-last day at Brighton today...Oh my God...2 feet of freshness on April 4th??

I gave a ride to hitchhiker from New Hampshire - his first day ever skiing in Utah. He just arrived last night with his car loaded and plans of moving here. I told him skiing on a day like to day would be like shooting up heroin before you ever even took a pain pill - he was going to be hooked on the stuff! I bet he never leaves Utah

So, Hick, did the shop do any more than run a compression test & come up with this leakdown comment? My point being, it could be valves or rings. The standard old technique to separate the two is...
Romove the plug, squirt in 3-4 squirts of motor oil, cycle the piston several time, reinstall the compression tester, recheck.

If the compression is still bad, it is valves. The oil will seal the rings enuf to see a noticable change in pressure. Valves are much cheaper to fix...

Like, Frog said, let me know if you need help. No magic here. Not even hard to fix...Just annoying..

How old is this bike? How many miles? Sucked in water?
