OK guys, I still have that Yuasa battery if somebody wants to step up to get it as a freebie.

Also, I have a printed out copy of the K1200 Repair Manual. I'd like somebody to use it for a working bike, I think it covers pretty much the series of K1200's like the LT, RS and GT.

Send me a PM and we'll hook up over the next several days, I don't enjoy sending this stuff to the shredder.....

TrailTwister could handle his big bike on a trials course, but in this case it'll be mid size bikes. Ryman on his 690, I on my 520, Hick on a 500 or something.

FORECAST FOR SAT AT THE KNOLLS IS 58 and partly cloudy.

Buddy and I are heading down to Woodside / Green River tomorrow... Going to be 60s down there and slightly drier... Knolls is like 2 hours for me so I'd prefer a little more desert for 30 min more!

If anyone is interested in joining let me know also... Plan is to be down there early, be in Spanish Fork by 6-6:30ish, on bikes by 8:30 or 9 likely in Woodside. Temps will be high 30s / low 40s for only an hour or so then warm up nicely.. Done by 3-4ish to head home because we have stuff we'll need to be back for...

hit me up if interested!

I'm also bringing a Texan (really a Californian) on a 530.

Tool Set FYI

Costco in Murray has these for $19.99.
11 sockets metric and standard 5mm to 14
Torks to T40
Slotted and Phillips

Ratchet has 72 teeth and it comes in a nice compact case. Seems sturdy for packing on the MC.

Sorry, I should have prefaced my question with "what sized bikes will mere mortals be riding?"

My buddy picked up a new 350 exc-w.

Holy F*ck!!

EFI was spot-on, even after he changed the pipes and removed the emissions doohickey. Traction was all day long even though he was running 18 psi to avoid pinch flats. Stock suspension won't need much work for a 180-200 lb guy. With a Tubliss system and a Rekluse, that bike will eat up single track. Yet I still think one could slap some UHD tubes in, change the gearing a bit, add some luggage and longer fuel legs, and dual sport all day as well.

Early morning Swell trip with DieselCruiserHead and JerBear was.... Swell!

Chimney Rocks

JerBear coming in for the kill

DCH getting away

We end up on the wrong side of the river near the trailer, so I check the rallyTab and we'll need to back track a half mile, but DCH wants to cross the river. I tell him that I'll shoot video but not help him cuz I don't like getting wet in Feb, but he went too fast for my to get the camera out. I did eventually grab it after i stopped laughing with horror.

He went into a 3 foot hole head first when the ice broke, and only a few rear knobbies and his rear were above the surface! Then after getting up his bike was being pulled under the ice, but he's big and tough so he wrestled it out.

let's get the water out of that swamped bike

ugh... Don't have all the tools we need, so it's towing through a sand wash to get out.

Great day!!!

Just barely pulled it apart, tons of water in the exhaust, oil, etc... Pretty deep submergal... Also a pretty nasty head over into the creek... Totally ridiculous...

Here are a couple of my iphone pics. No Sweat Canyon west of Woodside...

closup of 'the hole'

getting towed back in.. still a great day! good weather, slightly cloudy but nice and in the mid 50s..

Knolls was nice too! I was out there for about 5 hours. 65 and partly cloudy. It was a good shake down run for the katoom. I sure have a ton of cobwebs to shake off myself if ya know what I mean.

It was in the 80s here this weekend. We rode single track all day Saturday and Sunday...tight, technical, sand washes, rocky hill climbs, mesquite and cactus. Never taller than 3rd gear.

Last weekend we put up the tape. This weekend we pounded the trail. Next weekend we host a National Enduro - top riders from KTM, Husaberg, etc will be there.
